• Remarkable Things

… Worthy of attention; striking, likely to be noticed especially as being uncommon or extraordinary. Rare and outstanding. Unusual or special and therefore surprising and worth mentioning. Exceptional, interesting, or excellent. Remarkable things get our attention. What God does is remarkable. Near the end of 2022, I had no idea all of this word’s meaning when I first felt impressed to claim it as the theme for 2023! Just sitting in our airstream camper for an entire day catching up with Him and life and all the things. Actually, I’d resolved in keeping our Christmas theme “simple and sentimental” the whole year. But there were other plans. Now I know…

  • While I Sleep

I do not have to worry my way through life. I might need to work my way through some trials but I don’t need to worry my way through because He’s going to take care of things while I sleep. He is going to align every detail and put things in proper order even while I sleep... Why? Because that’s what I prayed when I woke up in the night with a hundred little thoughts. I traded my worry for wonder. WONDER of what He’ll do with all of it. CURIOUS as to how He’s going to manage another miracle. ENCOURAGED about how He will come through “with flying colors”!…

  • The Overcomer of Discouragement

We have an overcomer at our side. The Lord, He succeeds in dealing with or gaining control of some problem or difficulty. He’s a Voice and Advocate for us in extreme moments that last longer than we anticipated or when we have lost our footing for a minute and just need the security of His presence. Nine years ago, Mandisa came out with a song: “Overcomer.” I was driving on a road that had a lot of hills and I was thinking through our lives of ups and downs as I saw my three handsome and active boys in the back seat. I started singing this song to the top…

  • The Pile Up of Discouragement

Have you ever felt like you’re doing more things right than you have ever done, but more of the wrong things are happening to you than ever before? …And it’s like they’re not just happening. They are stacking up against you as a burial site or something. In my head as I saw the list of costly repairs to our vehicle along with the Christmas list and the camper renovation list and the house update list, I started feeling discouraged. On top of these things were dental appt.’s and doctor check ups, a much needed car cleaning, and some family needs. There were deadlines and pending dates that we had…

  • Stillness

MANY TIMES A LACK OF SOUND CAN BRING THE RICHEST ANSWERS… I’ve been in a season of stillness. And in this position, I’m noticing when Jesus spoke and when He had nothing to say! There were times He answered all the questions and there were times “He remained silent and gave no reply.” Knowing when to show up- speak up- or stay still, is quite a hard lesson for me. Not giving answers when you have some. Not showing up to every single service, event, conference, prayer intercession, meeting, party, or occasion. For two decades, it seemed I did! Even when I was not mentally there, I was physically present.…

  • Firmly Standing

Did you get knocked down a bunch of times like I did before finally finding a way to stand stronger? The red words in our bibles say this: “…the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” When we are saved or rescued, we’re kept in health and well being! We are given the chance to recover. That is what Jesus does for us. By firmly standing, He modeled what it is to not stop during most difficult seasons. A firm stand is this… Resilient- Fixed- Decided- Settled- Definitely Established- Not uncertain. Having the opposite of a firm stand is this… Compromising- Fickle- Fluctuating- Hesitating- Undecided- Unhealthy. We…

  • The point of real change

Some people have never given God a turn to do something great in their life because they have to control things. We learned last week that it’s when we know the value of God’s Truth and getting answers from it, that we then can be brought to a point of real change. Pride stays around in those who do not value God, others, or themselves. You have to kick pride out. You have to stay open to Truth- and you will need to be committed to it in the great times and also in terrible times. Just try and put a value on God’s Truth! You may not realize it…

  • The Power of Truth

Truth has the power to do many things… if we value it. Take a moment to assess your situation with wisdom. Access wisdom for the thing that’s in your heart! In your moment of strength or your moment of weakness, there are four things you/we can learn from allowing the clear voice of what’s true in the circle of the situation. When the convicting and convincing power of truth is able to work on us and rest inside us, this is what happens: It will 1.) Change our ways. 2.) Help us make plans. 3.) Give us new vision. 4.) Push pride out. I hope you are seeing the formula…

  • I’m Eligible!

Just because you had something terrible come up, doesn’t mean you are ineligible now to have good things come your way… Just because you got sick, doesn’t mean you’re not eligible for healing. Or that you’re never going to heal up. Even if you’ve plummeted financially, you’re still eligible to financially thrive. I’m not asking if you believe in miracles. Not that healing can’t happen in a quick and amazing way. But I’m talking about the healing that’s a process of becoming whole again. If this is what you need in an area of your life, please accept prayer from your church leaders or by those you consider proven mentors.…

  • Let It Grow

What are you putting your faith into today that’s going to produce a harvest in your future? Currently, me and my husband Derek, are putting money toward paying off our home! It’s a big goal to accomplish in the time frame of just three years. But what a great thing to do together- SOMETHING BIG. When we first asked each other how long it could take to pay our house off, it seemed like just a possibility to entertain. Now it is more than that! We wrote it down as a declaration and we see that our belief in it is causing our actions to follow suit. Once this is…
