    Did you know there’s a supernatural side of you?! Though I was a gymnast, cheerleader, softball player, on the track team, a J.C.Penny team board “model” once, and served in plenty of leadership endeavors, I honestly was not exceptional in any one thing, don’t extraordinarily stand out in a crowd, haven’t won awards for being photogenic, and never entered a beauty pageant.   • Throwing Lifelines

    Extending hope in times of difficulty is throwing a life line. Saying a prayer is throwing a life line. Being there when somebody is crashing down, giving a person discipline and guidance in a time that calls for it, is being a lifeline. Having an answer or just pointing them in a right direction, is tossing a spiritual rope of life in their direction! Human lifelines can be objects of obedience that act as pulleys.   • The Cardio Room

    The Cardio O.R. was quiet and a bit more serious than some of the other Operating rooms I had worked in. It had a hush to it. There seemed to be added risk with it. Beyond the swinging door were mayo trays, blue sheets, and instruments ready and waiting when the nurse brought the patient in. We stood gowned, gloved, and masked. The heart is an intense organ to get to! Modern techniques are ever evolving but layers of the body are opened up and retractors help hold the widest possible view of a human chest cavity so that an invasive operation can begin, that will hopefully extend a life.…
