Courage

Rest Up.

What’s making you tired and what is creating exhaustion for you?

Chances are, the same things that try to empower influences for me to quit, are knocking on your door too. Yes, even good things can tire us. But we’ve got to know when to call it a night and get to bed early. We need to know when to say no and prop our feet up a few minutes because we have to be ready when the return comes in. God has already given you His yes on His best for you. But His yes is not in doing so many good things that we seriously wear ourselves out. You can be so good that you aren’t any good for the harvest when it comes. We’ve got to be present when the harvest happens to show up. Wouldn’t it be a tragedy if we’re only there when beneficial work is needing to be done and then we miss the time we should be receiving and gathering in our reward because we got too worn out?!

Rest up. Live less tired. Then you won’t give up on getting your harvest.

I love the message version of Galatians 6:9-10! “So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good…” (Rest up when you know you need it) “At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.” You’re doing good. You’re dong right. Protect your harvest by listening to your needs or the lack thereof and replenish. Then you’ll reap the consequences of doing good.

Courage Question: What can you do to bring some energy back to your body, your mind, your emotions? Do it today because your harvest is in the balance!

Courage Quote: Even when my body goes haywire, my soul is at rest and at peace! Rest up. Look up. The blessings are coming.
