Principalities not people
I don’t feel qualified to teach this subject at this moment. What a great way to start a blog post, right? Eek! Working and living with people is messy sometimes and we often blame them for even the unseen struggles that are trying to stop us in every possible way. If you feel unliked or unwanted, remember this…
There is a “vast array of evil and malicious spirits who make war against the people of God.” However, Col. 2:15 teaches us that Christ has triumphed over all other powers! Just as soon as you “get rid of” that person, there will be another and another. Spirits jump. They hide. They manifest. And they deny…your strength, your power in Christ, your contribution to this world. The prince of the air, satan, wants you to become disobedient. He wants you to hate yourself and your God; He wants you to stay unlearned about what’s behind attitudes and faces. (People don’t have to be present for principalities to be at work in our thinking.) The true enemy wants you to downplay your role as a spouse, parent, minister, Christian,…person. None of us are beyond the pull of these hostile, confusing, divisive forces. We need a power surge!
One lie we hear is that there are too many things wrong with us for our lives to go right. Our truth for this is that Jesus did one thing so right that we can’t go wrong; choosing Him is where we head in the right direction no matter what we have against us. Even with all the things we have gotten wrong, He made a right-of- way for us! WHAT I DO KNOW IS THAT MY GOD HAS ALWAYS WANTED PROMOTION FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. What I don’t know is how many warring principalities are on the loose to shut us down. I know they are here. I don’t know how close we are to those incredible increases that are written on our hearts.
Ephesians 6:12 says: “Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers (principalities), against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in high places.” These things try to link to our health and happiness. Principalities not people. They are around to bring damage to your person and to your people. Look at Ephesians 6:10! To struggle is to make a strenuous effort to get free from restraint. Deal with people when needed but struggle with principalities not people.
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.”
Meet us here next Thurs. for the subject of “A Surge of Power” as a follow up to this. Leave your email here for my upcoming video. And as always, thank you so much for visiting this site. I am happy to serve you with words of life and hope- Courtney
