• The Abundance Mind-Set

“The pictures you allow in your mind will determine what kind of life you live.” – Joel Osteen “The Scripture says, Where there is no vision, the people perish. It doesn’t say where there is no money, no opportunity, or no talent. What limits us is a lack of vision. Dare to have a big vision for an abundant life and trust God to bring it to pass. You don’t have to figure out how it’s going to happen. All you have to do is believe. One touch of God’s favor can bring any dream to pass.” Do you want to learn how to live at a higher level and…

  • Double FOR your Trouble

I stumbled on a few truthful thoughts on the internet about this subject that I thought would be good to share here to close out this blog series: “Because you got a double dose of trouble and more than your share of contempt, your inheritance in the land will be doubled and your joy go on forever.” (Isaiah 61:7, The Message) “In the Old Testament when this scripture was written, God’s people were going through a very dark time. They were being held captive against their will and mistreated by other nations. God sent this word to encourage them and give them hope for their future. When the time came,…

  • Double Trouble

What most people don’t consider is Luke 12:48. “To whom much is given, much will be required.” Elisha, Joseph, Hannah and Job went through double trouble. They had a double dose of reality, loss, and extreme trials. They each had their fair share of hard times. What gifts or blessings have you been given? “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” (1 Peter 4:10) He gives us much, to glorify His name with it, and to be a blessing with what’s been given. The plan has been for us to make it through our…

  • Twice As Much

Do you have twice as much than when you began? Joseph, Hannah, and Job ended up with twice as much. Twice the amount of what they started with. Twice as large of an influence. Twice the testimony. They were all “double dosed.” Growing up, I heard that term a good bit, being as I’m a twin. My Mom was given two babies at the same time. Well, five minutes apart. She tells the story of how she and my Dad did not know they’d have a boy and a girl. Back then, they didn’t know all details ahead of time. Our heartbeats were insync and the Dr. thought it was…

  • A Double Dose

Do you want to be double dosed? 2 Kings 2:9 “…Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied to Elijah. Through Elisha, double the miracles were recorded than done through Elijah. He got double dosed with spiritual qualities and characteristics way above the norm. Elisha had asked for something hard. He expected it to take place. It made history. And it makes me less hesitant to ask for more. What about you? **HERE’S SOMETHING YOU CAN DO… **PRAY IT. SAY IT. CHANGE IT: Double the miracles Lord. Double my portion! Double my boldness to ask and double my ability to receive. **JOIN US again soon to discover…

  • At His Feet

#5. We fall.  No matter where you came from, Jesus’ presence can meet you in your distress. Yes, there are different cultural elements between people of the world but I do not think Jesus heals and delivers us based on culture or color especially if we are willing to come to Him from wherever we are. I believe He heals us based on love. Coming from everywhere, from countryside and citywide, we fall at His feet. Worship can happen anywhere. When we remember where we’ve come from, when we recall being “buried alive” in problems, when we look at the things that have been healed- we should once again fall at His…

  • At His Feet

The child’s mother fell. (A man with an impure spirit, a synagogue leader with a dying daughter, a woman with an issue of blood, a mother with a possessed child…All of them at different moments, “fell at Jesus’ feet.”) #4. Tyre was a chief city of Phoenicia. Phoenicians were notable merchants and traders. Jesus went to the vicinity of Tyre. He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it; yet He could not keep His presence a secret. In fact, as soon as she heard about Him…a Greek woman born in Syrian Phoenicia, whose little daughter was possessed by an impure spirit, came and fell at His feet.…

  • At His Feet

She fell. (A man with an impure spirit, a synagogue leader with a dying daughter, a woman with an issue of blood, a mother with a possessed child…All of them at different moments, “fell at Jesus’ feet.”) #3. A crowd is unpredictable and large. It’s suggestive. It’s contagious. Often a crowd is unstructured and unrestrained. A woman who had suffered and bled for twelve years, only getting worse at the hands of many doctors, came up behind Jesus from the crowd. When she touched Jesus’ cloak, immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. He realized power had gone from Him…

  • At His Feet

He fell. (A man with an impure spirit, a synagogue leader with a dying daughter, a woman with an issue of blood, a mother with a possessed child…All of them at different moments, “fell at Jesus’ feet.”) #2. A synagogue is a consecrated space used for the purpose of prayer and study. It’s a place for gathering, empowering, enlightening. One definition states that a synagogue is the building where a Jewish assembly or congregation meets for religious worship and instruction. When Jairus, the leader from the house of worship, saw Jesus, he fell at His feet. Jairus’ daughter was dying and he pleaded earnestly with Jesus to put His hands…

  • At His Feet

They fell. A man with an impure spirit, a synagogue leader with a dying daughter, a woman with an issue of blood, a mother with a possessed child…All of them at different moments, “fell at Jesus’ feet.” #1. A tomb is for burying the dead. It’s a place of isolation. A burial chamber for the deceased. The man with an impure spirit came from the tombs to meet Jesus when he saw Him. The man lived there. He couldn’t be bound with a chain. The word says that no one could bind him anymore. No one was strong enough to subdue him. Among the tombs night and day, the man…
