How do you fight a GIANT? #4

When others can’t see you as a champion, you’re gonna need to believe in yourself. Choose to approach your giant as a conqueror. (Rom. 8:35-37) Get a mental picture of what it will be like to put to death a giant of: poverty, evil, lust, harm, distress, or any other kind. Imagine yourself partaking of every good thing you’ve ever wanted. Those who fight giants have a reward waiting for them!

Has there been an undefeated, generational giant, conquering and parading itself around your family like a champion? The enemy can win all day long, all year long…until he comes up against someone on the Lord’s side. Goliath was known as a conqueror but he was on the wrong side and was threatening God’s people. When David heard that great wealth, a daughter in marriage and family tax exemption would be given to the man who kills the giant, he signed himself up!!! (1 Sam. 17: 25) There may always be something trying to block our dreams and desires. Go after them anyway. Confront the problem, conquer it and receive what’s awarded!

If we want resources, solutions, benefits, and opportunities, we must take on the giant. Look around. What’s available to you? It might be something…small! Small things can cause a great outcome.

Does the life you occupy require the strength of God to live it out? For almost two decades, I held my hands up to God in prayer, asking Him “what’s in these hands?” Dreams were in my heart but I couldn’t see anything in my hands to make them happen. One night while asking the question again and standing in the moonlight with empty hands, I closed my eyes. This time I saw a pen in one hand and a pencil in the other! This was a personal vision to keep writing. It was a picture of tools to defeat my giant. These small things would be used to help me get what I’ve desired, live out my purpose, and motivate others to do the same.
